Abstract
The mission of the optical engineering group is to provide the expertise in optics and coating for the NOIRLab observatories based in Chile and the United States. To ensure the deliverability on-time of a high-quality coating, the capabilities at each site have been inventoried and the resources centralized. This paper presents an overview and status updates of the coating facilities and the skills in optics across programs. This paper also reports on the collaboration between NOIRLab and an external customer in which competences in stripping and coating have been requested. This collaboration will be the model to build future partnerships at the different locations in Chile and the United States.
