Abstract
The distribution of highway accidents presents a certain regularity. In order to study the influence of road alignment index on the accident, Using Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM) to predict accidents on a two-way four-lane highway in Guangxi. The type and distribution of accidents are counted. Through comparative analysis with the actual accident situation, the accuracy of IHSDM accident prediction is defined. The research results show that the IHSDM model can identify dangerous road sections and is sensitive to the size and change of the radius of the horizontal curve. The establishment of the IHSDM model will help to optimize highway alignment and reduce the accident rate, and provide reference for road safety research.
