Abstract
Accompanied by the pilot project of regional port integration in Jiangsu and Guangxi in 2015, China began to build combined ports. However, we cannot simply imitate overseas pattern since both domestic and international combination ports have similarities and differences. At present, in the development period, we are now facing certain deficiencies, such as unclear management system, poor management model, insufficient utilization of resource assets and the need for innovation in operation management. In order to solve the shortcomings and achieve high-quality development of China combination ports, it is necessary to enhance the rights and interests of port resource assets, not simply replace port alliance with port enterprise combination, accelerate the construction and functional reform of port management institutions, and innovate the development mode of combination ports.
