Abstract
Under the background of foundation pit construction in a two-floor metro station in Tianjin, the laws of how steel brace and reinforced concrete brace erected at the same position of foundation pit influence the deformation of foundation pit enclosure structure and ground displacement were comparatively analyzed through a theoretical calculation. The calculation results show that when steel braces are used in the foundation pit, and the deformation of enclosure structure and ground displacement can be controlled by applying the axial prestress. The steel braces are recommended in practical engineering by virtue of their convenient installation and removal. The reinforced concrete braces will be considered only when the conditions at the construction site are limited, that is, not permitting the erection of steel brace.
