Abstract

Transportation planning plays an important role in guiding the construction of transportation infrastructure and even the development of the entire transportation industry. Traditional traffic planning mainly uses some drawing software and traffic planning software, such as CAD, Transcad and EMME/2. In the new development stage, the high-quality development of economy and society puts forward new requirements for transportation planning. GIS technology is an important means of new information technology, which can play an important role in all parts of the whole planning process. This paper focuses on the application of GIS data management, spatial analysis and visualization technology in traffic planning, hoping to contribute to the integrated development of traffic planning and GIS.
