Abstract
Based on the previous research on the new mandrel type hydraulic buffer, the dynamic characteristics of the buffer are simulated by Fluent software, and the buffer characteristics under different impact speeds are studied. The experimental study was carried out based on the physical prototype, and the experimental results were compared with the simulation results. The results show that the curve trend obtained by the experimental results and the simulation results are roughly the same, which verifies the accuracy of the previous modelling and simulation research. The new mandrel type hydraulic buffer has stable buffer performance, ideal buffer characteristic curve and ideal buffer effect.
