Abstract
Our country's southeastern coastal provinces are relatively developed economically and consume a lot of electricity, but these provinces generally have the problem of not being self-sufficient in energy. With the development of technology, long-distance DC transmission technology is usually required to supply part of the electricity. In a regional grid with DC input and internal generator sets, various loads, and various new architectural forms, its transient stability has also changed accordingly. In order to improve the reliability of power supply under the new situation, it is necessary to study the characteristics of such local power grid frequency, voltage, and power angle under fault conditions, and to provide a control method that can improve system stability. This paper will focus on the transient characteristics of the local power grid under the above conditions, and combine the virtual synchronous generator(VSG) control strategy to improve the transient stability of the system. In the latter part of this paper, the transient stability of the system is analyzed combined with a simulation example, and the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified.
