Abstract
The stability issue of power system has raised more attention these years since the typical characteristics of traditional power grid have changed significantly, due to the increasing proportion of renewable energy and power electronic interfaces. For wind power generation, it is faced with the problem of oscillation in a wide range of frequency, and the oscillation reflects the characteristics of frequency coupling. This paper firstly carries out theoretical analysis and simulation verification on its characteristics and generation mechanism, and concludes that the oscillation replication characteristic of PLL is one of the influencing factors. Therefore, proposes a new control strategy for the wind farm with VSC-HVDC transmission system, which weakens oscillation characteristics of the phase-locked loop, reduces the risk of instability caused by the coupling of oscillation frequencies. Finally, the control strategy is simulated and verified by MATLAB/Simulink software.
