Abstract
Guide sign system, which is the main source of identification information, plays a significant role in transmitting identification information. A campus sign system is a systematic combination of characteristic landscape layouts formed in colleges and universities through ordered and unified design according to certain features and then arranged in various campus spaces for teaching and administrative staff for identification. The campus sign system is closely related to students' study and life and generates important effects in various aspects. In this study, the vision calculation, the size dimensions of signs, and the colors and lighting effect in sign systems, which are included in the theory of ergonomics, were investigated. Then, the principles that the sign design for the campus static guide system should abide by were summarized for reference.
