Abstract

For two M-matrices, a sharper lower bound for the minimal eigenvalue of the fan product is proposed by applying the characteristic value containing the domain theorem. The estimating formula only involves the entries of two M-matrices. Hence, the lower bound is easy to calculate in practical examples. An example is considered to illustrate our results.
