Abstract
Escalator is an important transportation method in daily life. Handwheel is an elevator safety device which is used to move the car to the appropriate position and rescue the passengers. However, the turning force of some elevators exceeds standard. This article researches a new structure of handwheel. The turning handwheel has an auxiliary driving part, which can realize the traction operation of one machine by two people at the same time. The main driving part and the auxiliary driving part is connected by a fixing sleeve and a jacking screw. The torque is transmitted through a linkage shaft. The main drive part can also be used as an existing ordinary handwheel when the auxiliary driving part is removed. This handwheel can reduce the labor intensity of the operator and improve the operation efficiency and safety factor.
