Abstract
High temperature phase change heat storage technology is an important way to promote renewable power consumption. The regenerator is an important component of the solid electric heat storage device. The chamber structure at the inlet and outlet of the regenerator has an important influence on the uniform distribution of the heat transfer medium in the internal flow channel of the device. and improves the velocity uniformity in the heat exchange channel. The simulation model including air inlet chamber, heat exchange channel and outlet chamber is established and based on the Response Surface Optimization in ANSYS Workbench,the optimization design was carried out on the inlet and outlet dimensions and chamber width, the flow velocity distribution and pressure drop characteristics between different flow channels of the regenerator under different air flow rates were studied. The results show that, the standard deviation of the velocity of the heat exchange channel decreases first and then increases with the increase of the inlet/outlet chamber width. In addition, the optimum sizes of air inlet and air outlet are also obtained. The optimization results provide a reference for the structural design of steam type high temperature solid electric heat storage device.
