Abstract
Safe, reliable, economical, and esthetical stowage bins in civil aircraft can provide passengers with a great space experience and improve the economic efficiency of airlines. This paper proposes a structural design scheme that enables the flexible arrangement of center overhead stowage bins tailored to the specific needs of airlines. Moreover, the principles and contents of the structural design of center overhead stowage bins in civil aircraft are presented, ensuring compliance with the general aircraft design and airworthiness requirements. Static tests are conducted to verify the airworthiness of the designed stowage bins under the limit and ultimate load conditions. This paper provides valuable insights for the structural design and experimental verification of center overhead stowage bins in civil aircraft.
