Abstract
Amorphous alloy has become a potential transformer material because of its lower core loss than silicon steel at high frequency. However, the low saturation magnetization of amorphous alloys limits its application. A series of amorphous alloys Fe80Si(18-2x)PxBxCu2 (2≤x≤7) with potential high saturation magnetization are analyzed by the first principle calculation . It is found that the inhibitory effect on the magnetic moments of systems dominates when the P and B occupancy ratios are small, whereas the promoting effect on the magnetic moments of systems dominates as the P and B content increases. Meanwhile the relationship between atomic structure and magnetic properties was analyzed in detail, providing a guideline for the composition adjustment of Fe-based amorphous alloys containing P and B.
