Abstract
Search and Rescue (SAR) is one of the key supports for ensuring combat effectiveness, so it is of great significance to successfully conduct SAR actions to improve the operation capability. Due to the characteristics of complexity and multi-level combination of SAR, the analysis and design should pay attention to the following aspects: first, the high precision of a single capability indicator of the equipment platform is no longer the highest requirement, but the collaborative emergence of the comprehensive capability shown by the whole System of Systems (SoS) is more critical. Second, the personnel SAR in threatening environments is a large-scale, complex operation task, multi-equipment coordination required and multi-level joint SoS. Therefore, we need to take capability as a traction based on perspective of system engineering and carry out the structure modeling of personnel SAR SoS through the unified structure framework. Third, the personnel SAR SoS owns uncertainty and hierarchical emergence. Which modeling and simulation method should be selected to model and analyze the SoS from multiple perspectives, and how to combine simulation and Virtual Reality (VR) technology to play a role in assisting decision-making, so as to effectively improve the SAR capability. Therefore, this paper mainly carried out the following researches: (1) proposed the SoS design method based on EMCE (Environment, Mission, Capability and Elements) loop, and designed the personnel SAR SoS from four aspects: environment analysis, mission analysis, capability space planning and SoS elements analysis; (2) Based on DoDAF (Department of Defense Architecture Framework), the architecture of personnel SAR SoS was modeled, and the operational concept, operational nodes and information exchange, operational activities, state transition and event timing of the SAR SoS were designed in detail. (3) In view of the hierarchical emergence and simulation runtime of the SAR SoS, a composite modeling method adapted to the SAR SoS was proposed by taking advantage of the functional complementarity of the multi-Agent modeling method and DEVS (discrete event system) modeling method. (4) Using the holographic demonstration function of MR (mixed reality) equipment and the advantages of allowing users to interact with virtual objects and real objects, so as to assist commanders to better understand the virtual and real battlefield environment and make corresponding decisions.
