Abstract
Ocean beacon is a type of beacon, mainly used in ocean submersibles or other underwater equipment. It is used to report the current position to the information management when the equipment floats on the water surface, achieving monitoring and recycling of the equipment. The reliability of its performance and the accuracy of positioning information are the focus of research. Research is being conducted to address issues such as unstable water detection, limited transmission distance, and limited communication coverage of existing marine beacon machines. By studying the backup detection of seawater pressure and adaptive communication mode, a Beidou system and Iridium dual mode adaptive ocean beacon was designed. The beacon selects its working mode based on the seawater pressure backup detection method, and adaptively selects the communication mode with the information management platform based on its own position information and the power intensity of the signal for Beidou system. Through practical testing, this beacon can effectively ensure the reliability of equipment water detection, the accuracy of positioning information, and the integrity of information transmission, effectively improving the robustness of the system.
