Abstract
IGBT is the core device for energy conversion and transmission, and is the "CPU" of power electronic devices. IGBT is a high-power power electronic device that is a non on or off switch. IGBT does not have the function of amplifying voltage, and can be regarded as a wire when conducting and an open circuit when disconnecting. The three major characteristics are high voltage, high current, and high speed. It is a very ideal switching device in the field of power electronics. The use of IGBT for power conversion can improve power efficiency and quality, and has the characteristics of high efficiency, energy conservation, and green environmental protection. It is a key supporting technology to solve energy shortages and reduce carbon emissions. IGBT has a wide range of applications, such as frequency converters in the industrial field, variable frequency air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators in the household appliance field, high-speed railways, subways, and light rails in the rail transit field, aircraft and ships in the military and aerospace fields, as well as new energy vehicles and wind power generation in the new energy field.
