Abstract
In this study, an image enhancement method taking account of the color vision characteristics of the elderly is proposed to improve the color appearance of images for the elderly. The proposed method consists of lightness conversion, contrast enhancement, and hue preservation process. The performance of the proposed method is verified by comparing it with other conventional methods in experiments using several digital images.
