Abstract
Since electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) was presented near 20 years ago , some important applications have been found, and at least two kinds of ESPI instrument have been produced. In an ESPI system, imaging lens is one of key parts. In this paper, authors will study the effect of the resolving power of lens on ESPI fringe patterns, so as to find what lens the ESPI system needs. This research would be significant for designing an economical lens fitting to the ESPI system.
