Abstract
A method for analyzing of fluorescence decay kinetics is proposed. It does not use prior assumptions about a physical model of the object under study and experimental data errors. The method is based on the computing of the decay time distribution function taking into account its positiveness with additional stabilization of the solution. The fluorescence decay kinetics of different model systems have been analyzed. It is shown that the method offers the possibility of distinguishing between systems in which spectral relaxation or radiationless energy transfer occurs and multi-center systems with the absence of interaction between fluorophores. 1.
