Abstract
Magneto Optical Reading and Writing Integrated Heads (MORWIH) associating and integrated optic reading circuit and a thin film magnetic coil on a flying slider are currently developed in LETI. This integrated head will allow the design of a multigigabyte, multi-rigid- disk drive with two heads per disk, achieving small access time, direct overwriting and high data transfer rate.
