Abstract
This paper considers the examples of the experimental solution of some engineering dynamic problems studied at the Photoelasticity Laboratory of Moscow Civil Engineering Institute: the stress state of the holes located either near the free surface or deep in the medium under the impulsive and seismic loadings, the stress state of concrete gravitational dams, the defensive effect of screens under the loading by surfacing explosives and three-dimensional dynamic stress state of forging hammer striking elements.
