Optimization of a wave front corrector in the problem of compensation of laser beam thermal distortions was accomplished by methods of numerical experiment. For this purpose a statical model of elastic mirror was constructed. The model enables one to vary the number of servodrivers, geometry of their arrangement and the method of fitting the mirror on the base. Particularly, the number of servodrivers was varied from 4 to 50. The mirrors fixed in the center and having free edges as well as the mirrors fixed on the edges were considered.
