Abstract
Circular coaxial structures have been analyzed using a Scattering Matrix Code (SM-Code). The mathematicalformulation is given in [1]. The SM-Code includes ohmic losses and avoids the relative convergence problem [2].This gives the possibility to use a large number of diameter steps in order to analyze long (LA) oversizedcontinuous waveguide structures like coaxial gyrotron cavities. Standard cavities with abrupt junctions, improvedcavities with rounded contours and cavities including a conical inner conductor have been analyzed.
