Abstract
This paper presents the theory of ring laser which uses the optical pumping by two plane waves with different both frequencies and directions. If the group velocity of light in an active medium becomes equal to the phase velocity of running grating induced by the pumping rays, then the one-directional wave of an amplification arises lea-ding to ring laser generation with full suppress of those modes that run oppositely to the amplification wave direc-tion. As the applications of the theory there are considered determinator of angular coordinates of remote target and laser gyroscope with highest sensitivity.
