Abstract
For ultra fine particles to be manufactured, vibration mill is one of the most effective machines whose dynamics is the key factor for the efficiency of the mill and the quality of the product and the foundation of the analysis of structural response. Different from the researches presented up to now, this paper deals with the nonlinear dynamics of the high efficiency vibration mill with steel rods as grinding media which has an amplitude up to 15mm and a vibrating strength of 15g. Because it is difficult to measure the system signals, the high-speed cinematography is introduced. By this means it is found that the principal impact is generated between the machine body and the mass center of the grinding media during the operation whose frequency is equal to that of the exciting force. The super and subharmonic vibration components are also observed. The results mentioned above are proved by the frequency spectrum analysis with other method. It can be concluded that high- speed cinematography is efficient and reliable for the research of complex dynamic systems.
