Abstract
Wavelet and Gabor theories are applied to active imaging by sensors such as radar. This is achieved by estimating the reflectivity of the target area (target density function). New results are also obtained on beamforming, utilizing time varying shading (weighting) of the sensor output, and on multiresolution analysis of the target density functions which is useful for feature analysis of targets.
