Abstract

The concentration effect of the spectroscopic properties Yb³⁺-doped borate glasses have been determined from absorption and emission measurements at room temperature. The systematic variations of the spectroscopic properties and laser performance parameters with activator concentration can be used to optimize the doping concentration.
