Abstract
We explore the use of fuzzy logic techniques to create an Image Correspondence Correction System. Image Correspondence Correction is important for applications such as Surveillance, Terrain Database Collection, Exploration and Map Building which often require the comparison of image data potentially from different sources or taken at different times and in varying conditions. Difficulties arise due to mis-registration of the data as well as artifacts introduced from discrete image properties. This work attempts to apply a fuzzy-type scheme to reduce the effects of these problems. Results of this system are compared to those achieved by a previous non-fuzzy system.
