Abstract
In this paper we discuss various methods for collecting and exploiting SAR imagery of urban areas. In particular we describe techniques that utilise both intensity and phase information to provide information beyond that of the standard image product. We demonstrate techniques to produce digital elevation maps and SAR movies, using airborne radar data. Examples showing the applications and limitations of these approaches to the task of urban surveillance are presented.
