Abstract
A control system and its environment are said to be matched if the control specifications are satisfied for all exogenous inputs generated by the environment. This paper considers the so-called matching condition for a system-environment match for sampled-data critical control systems with delay of input. The environment is characterized by the exogenous inputs restricted in rate of change. Fast-discretization technique is used to obtain a discrete-time model including intersample behavior. The matching condition is given in the form of the inequality constraint of the unit step response. The interesting issue on selection of a sampling period is also discussed.
