This study is focused on the determination of refractive index of hemoglobin solution at different glucose
concentrations using Abbe refractometer. It is shown that the changes of refractive index caused by glycation of
hemoglobin may be observed using refractive index measurements. The refractive index measurements can be
potentially applied for the evaluation of glycated hemoglobin amount.
