Abstract
Interferometric sensors are effective for monitoring shape, displacement or deformation in Smart Structures. Wavelet-based ridge extraction will be applied to determine phase (and superimposed noise) in 1-D signals taken from 2-D interferograms. A second wavelet system, an adaptive wavelet system, will be designed and implemented to achieve distortion correction, analogous adaptive wavelet echo concellation.
