Abstract
In this study, the (1-x)Bi(Mg1/2Ti1/2)O3-xPbTiO3 powders and ceramics with a MPB composition at x = 0.38 are prepared with a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-assisted solid state reaction method. The materials show single perovskite phase. Effect of Mn-doping on the microstructure and electrical properties are investigated. It has been found that Mn-doping induces a constriction of the polarization in the hysteresis loop. The vacancies caused by the replacement of Ti4+ with Mn3+ are responsible for this phenomenon.
