Abstract
We report the existence of polarization memory effect in the polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT). Linear and circular polarized light was used in the sample arm and two spherical micro-sphere solutions were used as scattering phantoms. We further showed that this polarization effect can be clinically useful for the characterization of some real tissue properties such as tooth dentin.
