Abstract
Marine geospatial data has been collected over hundreds of years to varying degrees of accuracy, sometimes with errors of several miles in relation to modern satellite navigation and remote sensing accuracies. This paper details research and production activities by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) aimed at improving the worldwide accuracy of coastal data and NGA future directions for better GEOINT support of Maritime Domain Awareness.
