Abstract
Acousto-optical processors based optoelectronic backend systems for some radio astronomical applications are considered. The requirements to various backend systems: spectrometer, pulsar processor and spectrocorrelator are determined and their performance features in radio telescopes' receivers are briefly discussed. The main attention is given to the long-term stability of the acousto-optical spectrometer's frequency characteristics. It is shown that a problem of the frequency scale thermal instabilities can be overcome by using internal frequency calibration (frequency comb reference signals). Some results of the observations at the Siberian Solar Radio Telescope (SSRT) and the RT-64 radio telescope (Kalyazin Radio Astronomy Observatory) with optoelectronic backend system discussed.
