Abstract
The purpose of the work is the investigation of possible implementation of Ethernet 10 Gbps system (in transport variation) using on-stream optical fibre transmission lines in the following areas of telecommunication JSC "Bashinformsvyaz". The chromatic and polarization mode dispersion of optical fibers (OF) is supposed to be a significant distorting factor in these areas. The measurements' results of characteristics of the given kinds of dispersion are presented in the report, and also the theoretical estimation of the distortion level included into the digital signal. According to the results of measurement and theoretical estimation the correspondent conclusions were introduced.
