Abstract
As much as for natural viewing, it is important to correct refractive errors when wearing a VR or AR headset to improve the visual comfort while mitigating the VAC (see Chapter 18). However, as the eye relief in many AR and VR systems is limited due to eyebox considerations as well as limited space on the temples, it is very often the case that prescription glasses cannot be worn by the HMD wearer. Correcting for vision impairment can take different forms, depending on the target headset type.
