Abstract
The Fourier transform method is applied to the input complex function of a nonlinear system characterized by a transfer characteristic, where the real and imaginary parts of the input function undergo either distinct or the same nonlinear transformations. The effects of the complex transfer characteristic at the output of the system are investigated. As an example, an analytical expression describing the complex output of a symmetrical odd-power-law complex nonlinear system is provided.
