Abstract
We describe the geometric optic design and analysis of the optimal retroreflection corner-cube sheets with the effective retroreflective area ratio of 100%. The maximum condition of the effective retroreflective area of elementary retroreflection corner-cube is investigated, and as a result, the analytic design formulas of optimal retroreflection corner-cube structure are derived. We propose a novel packing method for the elementary retroreflection corner-cube to construct optimal retroreflection corner-cube sheets with the effective retroreflective area ratio of 100%.
