A testing method of optical axes parallelism of shipboard photoelectrical theodolite (short for theodolite) was proposed which based on image processing by comparing disadvantages of the conventional method. Owing to the application of this method, the testing process of optical axes parallelism of theodolite was optimized as well as the adaptability of the testing method was enhanced. The trial result indicated that this method could improve the efficiency and accuracy, and it also could reduce the human vision which is the main factor affected the detection results and had some actual application values.

A laser signal detecting device is designed for detecting the laser system signal of the shipborne calibration theodolite (hereinafter refers to as theodolite) in the dynamic environment on the sea. The device consists of target board, testing module and data processing module, in which the testing module is fixed in the middle of the target board. A laser beam collimation and expanding lens is designed with ZEMAX, and the theodolite self-stabilization system is adopted to prevent the loss of signal during the test. It is proved that the detection device can meet the detecting requirements with its high detecting precision, easy operation and strong expansibility.
An information field command values emulation system was designed to meet the requirements of testing and emending the information field testing devices. According to form principle of information field command values, the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) was used to design the emulation system of information field command values, drive the laser to produce simulate information field command values. By comparing the simulate values and the theoretic values, it can be educed that the precision of the simulate values is high enough to verified the feasibility of the emulation system, therefore it can be concluded that the emulation system can meet the corresponding requirements.
