Profile Summary

My graduate work was with Dr. John H. Reynolds at U.C. Berkeley, in the field of mass spectroscopy, with application to lunar samples and meteorites. Since then I have worked in the fields of building energy conservation through computer simulation of thermal physics, magnetic disk surface simulation, optics analysis and simulation, astronomical space telescope design, and optical instrument design. Major projects have included the Spitzer Space Telescope and SOFIA. I also have contributed to many others, including radiometer design, Kepler Space Telescope, and PIAA coronagraph development.
