My interest is designing and building high precision hexapods and other multi-degree-of-freedom motion control systems. Successful past programs include building the secondary mirror hexapod and camera hexapod/rotator for LSST and building the Center of Curvature Optical Bench (CoCOB) hexapod for ground testing of the James Webb Space Telescope. My current program is developing a high precision hexapod and supporting motion control system for upgrades to the X-Ray & Cryogenic Facility (XRCF) at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.
