Over the last 25 years, I have successfully performed research and development in academia and industry in diverse fields from biomedical optics to remote sensing of the environment. My expertise lies in optical systems, spectroscopy, laser-matter and light-matter interactions, modeling of the air-sea interface and development of prototype airborne and cliff-based imaging systems that take advantage of color and polarization from visible to infrared wavelengths. I also have 15 years of successful program management for customers as diverse as National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Office of Naval Research (ONR), and 10 years of experience managing groups of 5-15 scientists and engineers in support of these programs, with strong organizational skills and a history of mentoring and developing junior staff members.
