After graduation from the University of Munich (diploma in physics 2001, PhD in astronomy 2006) and post-doctoral cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, I have worked in applied research on reflective, diffractive and refractive optics for the extreme ultraviolet and X-ray domain at the University of Jena until 2013 and at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (BESSY II) until 2017.
Since then, I am with the Institute of Applied Photonics (IAP) e.V. in Berlin, where we develop optical components and instrumentation for spectroscopy in the soft X-ray range.
