Profile Summary

I am Kevin Kruse, an Electrical Engineering PhD graduate from Michigan Technological University (MTU).

I am employed as an application engineer at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, a manufacturer of high-quality Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and laser diodes (LDs). Currently, my focus is on Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) for IR illumination and Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) applications. Prior experiences with OSRAM OS have focused in color control in ambient lighting and optical design/characterization for automotive display backlighting. I assist customers with design and manufacturing issues, research technical trends in the optoelectronics market, and present technical training sessions and conference proceedings on the company's behalf.
