An 808 nm LD end-pumped trapezoidal 1.064μm Nd:YAG laser was demonstrated in this paper. The advantage of using a trapezoidal crystal was that under the same volume of the gain medium, the length of the gain medium was significantly increased, which increased the output power. The maximum continuous wave average power of 2.16W was obtained with the pump power of 30.5W, and the slope efficiency was 13.75%. After adding an acousto-optic Q switch with selective polarization function in the cavity, the pulse energy of 1.05 mJ, the pulse width of 80.7 ns at the PRF of 1 kHz was obtained. And the output laser was s-polarized. The beam quality factor was measured as M2~2.95.
