Profile Summary

Shinya Yokomizo is working on inventing therapeutic techniques using light. My research interest is photobiomodulation (PBM) and low-level laser therapy. Light stimulates a wide range of cell signaling pathways controlling survival, proliferation, maturation, migration, and new protein synthesis. PBM is expected to be applied in a variety of fields, including inflammation, cancer, brain disease, cerebrovascular disease, immune disorders, and infectious diseases.
